Looking for an orthodontic appliance that will achieve the smile you want? We’ll have it here at Dr Hashemi’s orthodontic practice, because we treat all our patients as individuals. We will recommend the right orthodontic appliance for you – and only you! That way, you’ll be guaranteed the results you’re after.
Our recommendation will be for one of the following types of braces:
Traditional metal braces
These braces have stood the test of time and for good reason – they work! Traditional metal braces are the type of orthodontic appliance most of us think of when we think about orthodontic treatment. The metal braces made up of brackets and archwires that look a little like mini train tracks across our teeth. These braces have come a long way and are now less noticeable, more discreet, more comfortable to wear and more effective than ever before, which is why we continue to use them here at Dr Hashemi’s orthodontic practice. Our choice of metal braces is In-Ovation.
Clear, ceramic braces
An alternative to traditional metal braces, though still extremely cost effective, are clear ceramic braces. These look and work in much the same way as traditional metal braces do; the main difference is they are made from ceramic material, making them more discreet when fitted to your teeth. The ceramic helps the braces blend in with the natural color of your teeth; the result being a discreet orthodontic appliance that will still ensure you achieve the results you’re after.
Lingual braces are also known as invisible braces, and for good reason – they’re practically invisible. Lingual braces get their name from where they sit in your mouth – next to your tongue. That’s right, instead of being fitted to the front surface of your teeth, they’re bonded to the back surface. They use the same mechanics as both traditional metal braces and clear, ceramic braces – archwires and brackets – but only you will notice them! At Dr Hashemi’s orthodontic practice, we use the Incognito brand of lingual braces.
A popular alternative to traditional braces is Invisalign aligners. This method of treatment uses a series of clear plastic aligners that look a little like thin sports mouthguards. Custom made to your teeth and jaws they make for a comfortable treatment experience. You can find out more about Invisalign aligners on our Invisalign page. We have aligners suitable for children, teens and adults.
